I recently spoke with a racer who came back after a year off and placed in the top 5 of a very competitive class. He offered me use of his bike for a weekend if I wanted to do the same - evidently word of my little mishap last year never reached him.

For a few different / silly reasons, I slipped a little in one of my more important classes, Materials Engineering. I scored a 36 of 45 on my last lab report. A 74 of 100 on my last test, with the chance of a similarly bad grade on another test that hasn't been graded yet ( Read more... )

Looking back at pictures from earlier this year, I'm remembering how much fun I had riding in Oregon.

A good portion of my immediate family is hoping to move to Oregon someday. I'm wondering if that wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Last weekend, I headed out to compete in the Downhill Mountain Bike race at the Parkfield Classic, in the hills of California's Central Coast.
