So the guy with antlers is a fan? How strange.

Also, I've been riding my bike to work. It's almost completely flat, with nothing that could even be called a hill. That hill would KILL me. I tried to take a different way home one time - it goes up a pretty big hill and back down - and I turned around about halfway up the hill because I couldn't make it. But that's my goal - to be able to ride all the way up that dumb hill.

You gotta start somewhere. When I first got serious about riding...about two decades ago...I went out and plotted out routes that were nothing but hills...and rode them constantly. Until I could finish every hill on the route without walking.

Granted, my training methods were sketchy, but I think it was more the mental part of it.

That'd be one way to get better. I mostly feel stupid when I have to stop and walk, but it would probably make me better a lot faster than my pansy-method.

Isn't having to walk better than turning around? At least with walking you make it to the top.

BTW - I don't think I'm near ready to ride that hill either. :)

They say it's a 10-15% grade for 3.7 miles, but I found lots of breaks where I could let my legs rest and my heartrate recover.
