Yeah, good lord. I just spent a few weeks talking a new rider into an SV instead of an FZ600; the GSXR is so far beyond the FZ I can't even fathom a new rider getting one.
I can't help but think that THIS is one of the reasons why sportbike insurance rates are so high.
Speaking of the mode selector (and the traction control unit that can be wired into it), a local racer actually offered to let me test the one on his bike. That's a brave man...

Then again, it's still a $10,000 bike that is almost guaranteed to hit the ground in the hands of a newer rider...
I'd expect the SV to have even more power than an old FZ. With a stock motor, I was running neck and neck with an FZR600 in WSMC practice sessions.
