Well, I’ve said it before. Bringing the capital city of the most powerful nation on earth to its knees is a piece of cake. All it takes is a nut on the Wilson Bridge with a gun to his head (JUST LET HIM DO IT!) or an earthquake of moderate magnitude. So glad to hear you are both ok. Those must be very scary things to endure. I have never been in one, but R has in Frisco.

Strange there was also one in Colorado today. Seems the Continent is not too settled of late.

Thanks. It was exciting. But it could've been much worse.

A coworker is going to Yellowstone for a week of hiking and such. That place is on top of a super volcano that blows every half-a-million-years or so. Some think it's overdue for an eruption. What a pretty mess that would be.

Took the kids on vacation to Yellowstone at ages 10, 8 and 6. They were not impressed, claiming it was smelly and they didn't get to see any bears. (This was just after the horrendous fire.)

Yes, you are right on the super volcano. If that one ever blows we might be looking at an inland sea. And yes, it is overdue. Not that I am particularly threatened as we are a happy 300ft above sea level. Still, not a happy thought.

LOLOL! That pic is a bit over the top, but so have been the reactions in the media... ;-)

But seriously, I love quakes, too. The low rumble on earth is like any other sound I've ever heard... and I used to feel them coming, too. Now I moslt sleep through them! :-) One gets used to everything.

Journos make me nuts. Now they're carrying on like the on-coming hurricane means the apocalypse.

I sometimes think earthquakes are Mother Nature's way of reminding us of our place. :)
