Regarding 3, I think you can buy waterproof sealant at either a hardware store (for fences or decks, for example) or an art supply store (to seal paintings or drawings). I don't know which would be less toxic.

Walmart sells spray-paint you can use on plastic stuff.

Point well taken :D I guess the idea or hope was that I (or whoever happened to be around) might refresh the water every once in a while. If peoples' feet are going to be covered in poison ivy, then without the footwashers, they would just end up tracking it into the temple.

Excellent point, though. Something to think about. Maybe we could put poison ivy neutralizer (if such a thing exists) into the water?
