Its true that armors don't move or come off easy... but it serves to protect you when you just keep on hurting.... you win some you loose some....
But anyways... thank you very much for your words... I appreciate them, I really really do.. makes me happy that my incessant ranting which was ONLY meant to extricate the massive weight I was feeling inside, made me receive kind and uplifting words from people...
I have felt a lot of what you expressed in this post, and I feel your pain. Just know that whenever I see you around LiveJournal I always appreciate what you have to contribute and love the way you express your opinions. It's something that I admire and I hate the idea of you holding yourself back. It's definitely understandable why you would feel like you have to, but just know that at least someone will miss you being you. Friends are trickier to come by for some. The number of friends I thought I had a couple of years ago compared to how many I have now is really depressing. But the thing is, as much as we strive to be better versions of we are, we can change who we are completely and expect to ever be happy. Being who we are my cause the number of people who we can trust and call friends very limited, but at least the relationships we do make will be based on something real.
Anyways, I am sorry that you are sad and that things are really sucky for you. I hope things get better. I really do.
You are a wonderful person. Please know that. I'm sorry you're hurting. I understand where you're coming from. I tend to push people away when I'm in a bad place, and isolate myself. Yes, if you shut everyone out, you eliminate the risk of getting hurt by them. But in the process, you're actually hurting yourself. I don't let people in easily, because I know they'll eventually leave me. But at times, when I've been doing better, I've had lots of friends, and if I lose someone then, it's easier to go on, because I don't have ALL my emotions tied into that person. Humans are social beings, and we do not fare well when we isolate ourselves and cut ourselves off from human interaction. I hope you'll be able to open your heart to new friends, and that you'll be greatly rewarded for your efforts. Much love AJ
There are times when I feel incredibly lonely, and isolated, and that no one understands or gets me. I feel like there is no place for me in this world where I fit in properly. I'm sorry you're hurting. The subject of friendship has caused me much pain at times, and I really feel the pain in this; the rejection.
Learn to love and respect yourself, and everyone else will follow suit, or fall away. The only opinion that truly matters is your own. Be comfortable in your own skin. Give yourself permission to shine instead of fade away. Who cares if they don't get it, or get you? Never apologize for being who you are. You are light. You are love. You are awesome.
