Before most of you were born I used to read a series of comics inspired by the Gerry Anderson puppets. Okay, most of you don't remember them either maybe. Thunderbirds too. I used to have a crush on Scott Tracey. I guess it's OK to have a crush on a puppet when you're 7.

A crush on anything when you're 7 is always okay, and Scott was a cool guy... um... puppet. He had the best Thunderbird anyway. I had models of most of them and spent time making a kind of airport for them made of blocks and meccano and a lot of painted tin cans with Christmas lights inside (looked great in the dark). My TB2 had a motor driven silo thing that opened up when it had to fly out. Not as slick as the TV version but it kept me happy.
