I'll admit that most of the things I'm learning these days come from Cracked.com. It is wildly informative.

Okay, yes, Cracked for the win, but I call shenanigans on this article. I for one learned to save every damned penny by being poor because I never knew where the next one was coming from and something would come up that would utterly demand to be paid. You can react to the pressure either way.

I'll accept you shenanigating the article's implication that these are THE things you learn if you're poor. But I shenanigify your shenaniging the entire thing. (This may be semanticifying but I'm enjoying shenaniling all over the place).

Anyway, I'm going to guess his experiences are shared by many even if they aren't universal. As you say, a person can react to the pressure either way.

I learned penny pinching as the son of an upper middle-class freelancer, for example. Definitely not poor but you and I got the same lesson.
