I didn't read the whole article, but a new book ("Forged") is out that claims 17 of the 27 books of the bible were "forged" and not written by the apostles. As you can imagine, there's been backlash. Specifically Ben Witherington, a New Testament scholar, a guy who believes in and constantly reads the Bible, is not happy about the incendiary claims ( Read more... )

Waking up to birthday wishes is pretty wizard, especially when I blearily opened my inbox in search of the next work fire and instead found a bunch of well wishes (and a couple work fires). Thank you all for that, it's a good way to start the day.
