The unspoken thoughts of the ones we love and hold dear can tear us apart and not expressing or talking out our feelings can make it worse. Yes, being young and even old we all do this at times. When such life changing things like this come up it is very difficult to endure. I know that long distance relationships are also very hard and I also know that by going Ennis is giving up something he loves, but he is also taking an opportunity to see if this is what he really wants. I think he really wants Jack but he also is still unsure of it all. College is such a time of exploration and exploring ones sexuality and relationships. For some it is very difficult and finding a path to take is also very hard. I feel for both of them but as they say if it is mean to be it will be. Although to the road to get to this place of happiness forever can be quite painful. Joe

Love this story, thank you for the update. I must also thank you for the few comments from present time Jack indicating that he and Ennis are on good terms and speaking to each other. Feel bad for Jack though, after losing his mom, now he's losing his boyfriend. Looking forward to reading more.

They could find a way for a long distance relationship but for this they should talk about their emotions and that's not so easy isn't it?

I still love your writing.
I still love your story, even if it hurts in this moment.
I still like Josh a lot, the best friend for Jack, the only person I didn't mind to see with Jack when Ennis was giving him a hard time. If I accepted Jack with somebody else it really means that your writing is good!
