I'm so happy to read a new chapter! Lot of angst but I loved it anyway.
Thinking of you and Camilla discussing the story puts the biggest and happiest smile on my face :)

A big hug

perhaps this separation is for the best- it hurts me to even write it but they're at such a bad place right now, on so many different levels- I think they can't make it work without looking out for themself first. Jack has to get his footing back and as much as I want Ennis to be there for him, perhaps it's to much to ask of him at this time in his life.
They're still so young, Ennis needs time to come to terms who he really is, and Jack- puh, it's so much worse for him, sigh. My heart hurts thinking about the hard times he has to face now. Thank God there's at least Josh.
I'm so happy you're on a roll now, can't wait to read all the other chapters
thanks so much

Well, something had to give - they certainly couldn't have kept going the way they were, so at least Ennis leaving for grad school will force Jack to make some changes. Poor guy ... Josh is kind of his lifeline to the real world right now and I'm really glad Ennis saw the need to have Josh there for Jack.

Thanks to you and Camilla for the great update - sad, but so well-written!

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Poor Jack.

I think Ennis is going to be surprised at how much he misses Jack though.

"To me, it felt more like being shoved off a cliff; I didn’t ask for almost any of it, but once you start falling, there’s not a goddamn thing you can do about it."

Poor Jack!
