I had to separate Steve and Jeff, so I'm onto three cages now. Steve and Jeff had a major barney on Wednesday night and I had to physically pull them apart. Steve spent the night in a box, and I got him a new cage after work yesterday. So much for sociable.

Got a book about dwarf hamsters the other week and there was a health and safety warning

Hehe, they haven't been naughty to me in any way, think perhaps I got the separating wrong the first time. I didn't know who'd done the biting, only that Patrick was bleeding, so I removed Patrick. Think perhaps it's one of the other two that would have been better off on its own. But what's done is done and they all have nice houses with loads of toys, can see (presumably), hear and smell one another, but cannot hurt one another. Jeff has been left on his own in a pretty big cage though. Am considering getting one of a more appropriate size and putting a pair of mice in his... Will have to see whether mice are permissable first though!
