How To Be Douchebags.
I went to Newbury Comics today to see Juliana Hatfield play an in-store appearance. It was fun. But tomorrow is an in-store with New Kids On The Block. I was talking to the dude at the counter about the rules I'd seen online. He agreed that it was insane, and let me know that it was NOT the store that set this up.

Statement Of Intent
Indie rock's obsession with "baroque pop" or "orchestral pop" or whatever you want to call it can suck my ass. Sure, i like Forever Changes and Smile too, but not every fucking songwriter needs banjos (ESPECIALLY if that's a plural eventuality, horns, and a string section, you stupid, trendy assholes. -

I think that the older I get the more Im appreciating Sonic Youth's post-Washing Machine output. It's somehow soothing. Still experimental, but harnessed into something a little more sprawlingly appealing.
