So far there is not a sassafras tree in Lexington, unless it is in one of those odd places I can't get to yet. Steph and I had to go out back out of town past Richmond to get our root. Woke up late today and coughed out enough phlegm to be mistaken for a rotten egg. It was supposed to rain today; it isn't. I need more sassafras, and for it I intend to scour the artesian wells where this town was named.

For right now, however, something a little more effervescent will do.

Yesterday I accepted that nothing I wanted to do for the marijuana reform movement was going to go anywhere, so I bought a membership to NORML.

I would write more, but I still need to walk my dog and dig a hole for my compost before getting ready for work. Also need to not buy cigarettes.
