Both kids are sleeping - miraculous!  now if I can just get Katherine to sleep at night when she's supposed to, all will be well.  I know she's fighting a cold right now, so its hard for her to sleep at long intervals.  I should probably wake her up.  *sigh

i joined a mommy group too and i'm deciding if i should leave it or what, all the girls look so pretty and i feel like i would be an outsider too. i know where you're coming from and it sucks :/

YES! All of the girls I met were so put together, like they had all of this time to blow dry and buy all of the right clothes. I am barely fitting in anything I am wearing and we have 0 money to buy me new clothes - even at discount places. Forget time to fix up with hair and makeup. How do these mommies do it??

i don't know, me and Ty were talking about it last night and he said they seem like they're all doctors wives. and i was thinking...i thought i was out of high school and out of social standards and cliques. guess not.

Is this a national mommy group with a local chapter? Or just a local thing?

Just a local mommy group. Its really cool - the moderator schedules lots of stuff every week - parks, museums, moms houses, malls. She also requires constant rsvping and talking on the boards. I found it a little overwhelming, but thinking back, it was worth it for the support. I'm hoping to rope people into a moms night out. god I could use a night out of the house w/o kids!!!!

I hope the mommy group goes well for you. I've never been a part of one. Social groups scare me. But I thought about doing it.... You'll have to let me know if it's worth it. :D

Good luck withthe mommy group! We have a few around here, but I don't do well in large groups of people. I'm trying to do more things like that but it's hard for me too.
