Question

Has any of you ever sent any actors/actresses fanmail? I want to, but I don't know what to say. Do I talk about myself or do I talk about how much I enjoy watching their work? And if I want an autographed photo or something, do I ask?

Any feedback at all is appreciated!

I'm definitely talking to you about it on AIM right now and only posting this to be the first one. Haha. XD

I once sent a fan letter to Thuy Thang, the actress that played the Yellow Ranger on the first season of Power Rangers.

I mainly remember just saying a bit about me, my family, and how much I liked her.

I was only nine afterall.

I'm thinking of sending a fan letter to Willem Dafoe and Hawksley Workman. I think I'll just tell them how great they are and to send me something.

That's what I was thinking. Like how long I've been a fan and a little bit about me. Not a lot. But you know. This is like the hardest thing I've ever had to write. XD

I wrote a letter to David Spade. All I said was a bit aboot me, - my age, where I lived, what I was doing at the time (ie student) - how much I liked him (*giggle) and enjoyed his work and requested an autographed picture. :D I got one. It took a while but I did get one. There wasn't any other response with it but I know someone must have read my letter. :D

David Spade is cool! I wouldn't even mind if he doesn't respond personally because I don't expect that but still. How long did it take?

I don't remember. I did it when I was in high school so this was at least 5 or 6 years ago. LOL It took long enough that I forgot about it and then I got it in the mail and was pleasantly surprised. YAY! :D

I <3 David Spade. *drools*

I've had success with both Billy Boyd and Ewan McGregor through different methods. For Ewan, I was a little dishonest and said it was for a charity raffle, but for Billy, I just sent a typical fangirlish letter, saying how I loved his films etc etc... and got a PERSONALISED autograph!!

Sneaky! I would love a personalized autograph. Did you ask for it or did he just give it to you? I think I'd sound totally stupid if I asked for one, but I'd really like one. I think he's nice enough to send me a photo or something.

I sent a letter to Jeremy Sumpter BEFORE Peter Pan came out which is the stupidest thing ever, just to see if I got a response. It was like "I'm so excited for Peter Pan, autograph plzthxbai. <3" It was such a waste of paper omg. But I did get a response, his autograph on a picture I sent in rather than one they give out (since they said they were out of stock on his site) so somebody DID read it. He didn't write what I said I wanted him to write tho and the autograph was damn good for a boy, so I'm a little iffy about that.

Anyway, lol, definitely include some stuff about yourself like how old you are, where you're from, etc. but stay mainly on the person you're writing it to. x) Who is it, by the way? (hope I'm not being nosy!) And dude, totally ask for an autograph "if it wouldn't be too much trouble." ;D <33!
