I was feeling just how frustrated Martin and the real estate agents must have been--you illustrated that perfectly in the text. And I think that's why it was so satisfying for him to find a better match in both (nameless) partner and house.
"The houses hadn’t been right, because they hadn’t been right." This was such an apt, but appropriate realization. It wasn't just "location location location," but "person person person. I loved the idea in this!
I liked this. The realization that the person you live with is as important as where was a great turn for the piece, and you sketched in both the early frustration and the later contentment well.

I really enjoyed this! I liked the juxtaposition and how happiness was the end result of being brave enough to make a change.
