Books and stuff
I'm currently reading The First Word - The Search for the Origins of Language by Christine Kenneally, which is turning out to be a fascinating read. The Amazon page probably gives a better summary than I did, but it's a great intro book into the origins of human language for someone who's interested in historical linguistics, but isn't necessarily ( Read more... ) -
Vacation Update!! (Worst journey ever)
Ok, before anyone gets the wrong idea... we're having a great time now that we're here. But...

The cab's picking us up in roughly 45 minutes. Then, we're on our way, expecting to arrive in roughly 19-20 hours. See you guys on the flipside. :) -
Bathroom Cleaning Fun (tm)
Ok, so our bathroom's in a sorry state. Not due to any excessiveness of uncleanliness on our part (that I know of), but the paint in the ceiling has been chipping off for a while now due to humidity. Sitting at the office, it's 6:30 (am for the 24-hour clock impaired), and getting ready to get on the train to the airport. Early mornings suck. Off to Stockholm for the day. At least it shouldn't be a super-late day.
