not sure who you are, but if you're talkin Prince, that's a subject I know well. I've always been rather fond of the highly underrated Graffiti Bridge. It's got some very out there, kinda spiritual stuff (which is why I love it), but is also damn sexy at the same time. I particularly love the songs Theives In the Temple and Still Would Stand All Time.
I afree, I've always thought the album contained some of his best stuff, specifically "the Question of U", "Joy In Repition" and "Still Will Stand All Time" but I feel the album could use some reworking. I've always been one to argue the merits of the album, but, I think it would've been allot better if Prince had left the work from Morris Day and the Time on "Pandamonium". "Joy in Repitition" and "Question of U" rock!!!
Sign O' The Times is one of his best songs and albums. I think his Joni Mitchell influences really showed up on that album with his folk-like/storyteler songs like " I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" and "The Ballad of Dorthy Parker".(I love Joni) The songs are very well written. I love " The Ballad of Dorthy Parker" I actually Brought " Sign O' the Times" in to read to Mrs. Brians class. It turned out she was a huge fan and we spent10-20 minutes analizing the lyrics. Very good stuff.
the only two Prince songs that I know, or that I know I like and are Prince songs are Most Beautiful Girl in the World (Is that the title?) and When Doves Cry and I agree with Alice that When Doves Cry completely wins.
