The carpet thing is funny. My mom and I were in a CVS in Foggy Bottom chatting away in Spanish about something gross that other people didn't need to hear. (Normally I'm against doing that because it's rude when people around you don't speak the language.) So this girl behind us whispers to her friend, "Hey, do you speak Spanish?"
