I watched Master & Commander recently, for the first time. I had had a sense, for a few days prior, of rough times ahead for me, and so when a particular line from a particular character(with the last two words of the quote tattoed on the knuckles of each hand so they show when he gets a grip on something) rang true for me and seemed like the universe's way of giving me a heads up. He looked at one of the younger crewmen and smiled, saying "You'd better hold fast!". Just hang on. The seas of life are gonna get rough, as are your own emotional waters. The thing I fear the most, and thus the thing I've fought hardest against, is a loss of control. A loss of my grip. Just keep that grip through all of this, and you'll come out the other side no problem. Losing loved ones is tough. But you'll be okay.
