Got the full scoop last night. In a woman my age, vitamin D levels should be at 40. I am currently at 24. This is bad. It's not end-of-the-world bad, though. So, he wrote me a prescription for vitamin D, at the level of 50,000 units per dose, to be taken 3 times a week. (A normal supplement, by contrast, is like only 1,000 units.) Several months ago, my niece moved to California to be with "the love of her life." Two days ago or so, he tells her he doesn't know that he loves her after all.
