Olympics 2012/Shocking story

So in the 2012 Olympics I will of course be rooting for the Lithuanian men's basketball team, as always (if they make it - they still need to qualify in July...*bites fingernails nervously*).

I will also be rooting for Kayla Harrison, USA, to win the gold medal in Women's Judo (under 78 kg weight class). She is the 2010 world champion in this weight ( Read more... )

That is really creepy. Does it change the good memories that you had from your Judo competition days?

No, not really, I have a lot of good memories of the clubs I belonged to. I did spend a week at a summer training camp where Doyle's father was one of the organizers and Doyle, a participant. However, I spent most of my time with other folks in the area, as the Doyles' club was some 50 miles north of Cincinnati where I was living. So I ran into them only when there were tournaments, clinics, and the like that people from the OH/IN/KY areas would get together to participate in.
