Thanks :) The parentals took it better than I'd expected - perhaps I have you to thank for that. After you packed up and headed for Europe, my plans must seem far less risky - LoL. I'm not going to look for any paid work until after Easter - I'm thinking of it as long service leave after 10 years in practice. thanks too for the link, I'll check it out.
Long service leave! Sounds like a great and fitting plan :) good Ick with it. I'm still directionless here, but have some paid work to tide me over. Decision time will be around April/May... Interesting times!
Wow! Well done. So glad you're getting out of that job that was draining you so badly. Health and wellbeing is more important than a job. This is going to be such an exciting change. Going from two incomes to one income is always a challenge, but sometimes it's necessary to switch to less money in order to gain happiness.
I'd love to assist with the cabin fever prevention plan. I know what it's like to go from full-time work at an office to being at home and feeling a bit directionless. Especially if most of your friends are still working full-time. I also struggle to get out of the house more often and be social, so we may be able to find some mutually beneficial things to do :)
Thanks :) Every day I am happier with my decision.
Definitely up for social activity - I haven't even seen your new place yet!
Other ideas I've had include walking to my local library to read the papers of a morning, plus going to the gym for classes more regularly - I've been mainly using the cardio machines these past many months.
Now that Mum is living in Auburn full time for a year, I might also start going to Stormhold Monthly Bash again - it's near to their house and I can visit them at the same time...perhaps around dinner time! I haven;t been doing any SCA activities for a very long time, and I might be ready to dip my toe back in.
