We all know how its goes: when you have time to enjoy diversions, you have no money to spend on them; when you have the money, you don’t have time to spare. *makes mental note to send book on perfectionism* :P

One trait of perfectionism is to procrastinate on something until it is the last minute then rush it. It's a combination of the "can't start until everything is lined up perfectly" and seeking a subconscious reason (i.e. ran out of time) for why it isn't perfect.

I was a perfectionist, but then I got better.

Yup, and it's very present in those people who suffer from anxiety as well. Awesome!

Thanks, I think that identifying it helps deal with it. Kind of like calling someone out on a decption - once its out in the open, it loses its power.
I'm trying to be FLY about it.
And I'm amused that today, when its cold, gray and wet out, I am wokring on a floral summer dress!

Overtime is a bit blech, but it does help pay for things, you're right.

If you start the project, then at least you've started. It doesn't have to be perfect, and you CAN do bits at a time. <3 The others I can't help with.
