Bushdire Appeal sewing bee

This week I have been feeling somewhat helpless in respect of the bushfire relief activities going on around me. I am not a blood donor, we don't have much spare cash at the moment, and while I really want to help in some way, I didn;t know how. Then a work colleague sent me this link:

I am not a blood donor

Unless there is a health reason (and there is for many) changing this is very easy 8-> First time donors just have to fill in one more page of form than regular donors. I think the blood bank is full at the moment but that won't last very long. They will still need donors long after the crisis is over. < /rant > (and yes, I donate regularly 8-> )

I know, I wish I could, but its not an option for me :(
Still, if we spread the word, more people may become donors.

I'm likewise ineligible to be a blood donor, so I've gone with donating money. The uni has set up the Bushfire appeal as one of our salary deduction options, so we can do it straight out of our pay and get the tax deduction upfront.
