Does anyone know why there are helicopters doing fly-bys of our building? Has been going on for about an hour. They are disturbing SammyHubby's studying.

Hope your Indonesian is up to date. Bit hard to get a job in the government without knowing the state language...

Thank you mr_bassman. That explains why blackhawks were circling my work building this past week too. I must admit, working on the 38th floor and seeing 4 choppers fly past in formation with all thier doors open and seeing the daylight from the other side was pretty awesome - as in awe inspiring.

May I recommend noise cancelling headphones? Drowns out all kinds of things. Very useful.

I will seek some out. He is more noise-seneitive than I am at the best of times, so probably would be useful to have around the house.

I originally got mine to drown out aircraft noise and screaming toddlers when we went to the UK. I have the "in ear" type, which I've found good. I have a larger "over ear" set from a while ago, which are also good, but I find the weight starts to put pressure on my neck if I'm wearing them for a long time.
