So, my first flight was delayed by thirty minutes. Initially. Set off about an hour late, but we were told it would gain time in the air. Then United failed to announce the gate for Manchester, so I and about 20 other people ran and got the terminal changing train, only to find if we had STAYED WHERE WE WERE, we would have maybe made it. I know we all complain about it getting dark early - it does that here, too. But there's something satisfying about leaving work and coming home and turning all the lights on. I think here, where the days can be warm, it comforts me that the nights are chilly and descend early. It enables me to feel seasonal, and to remember coming home from school ( Read more... )
