So I have moved house and will update my new adress on a friends locked post in my memories

This sounds awful and not up to the standard you should expect from rented accommodation. Make sure to get photos as proof of how bad it is for deposit returning time.

Dave has said he's lived in worse, but they are going to have it cleaned and take it out of previous people's deposits. The agency guy took pics but we will also take our own.

I think it varies agency by agency, TBH. If I've had a tenant for a long time, I tend to expect to have to redecorate (although that just means hideous magnolia and brilliant white woodwork everywhere

That sounds terrible. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out soon. I'm not sure when Kim is back in Manchester but if they take a while to sort out your washing machine you're welcome to come round and use ours :)

Hi thanks for the offer, they eventually got it to work but we're also getting a new one and they are cleaning and doing repairs.
