and there are fewer unskilled American workers. When college was less accessible there were a lot more people to do the manual labor and unskilled jobs. Now everyone's going to college and they don't want to pick artichokes. Apparently there are even fewer high school kids taking summer jobs (working in the fields back in Indiana) because so many more kids are trying to get internships.
