This morning Mayor Menino was at the Forest Hills T stop campaigning for Deval Patrick. Of course when he saw Yikes he squatted down to say hello. She hid halfway behind me of course but came out a little when he asked if she was trick or treating. He asked her what she was going as and she said Dorothy. He then asked the same question someone

This just reminds me I need to get up to speed on children's things. I automatically thought Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz.

I've heard of these Wiggles but have no clue what they are I fel so dumb.

oh don't fret, you'll learn about them or whatever is popular when your child is old enough for tv, even without trying. ;) It's insidious.

Oh, the incredible disdain has started, usually directed at me! she just doesn't have the mechanics of eye rolling down yet. :)
and yes, I didn't think it was a dumb question for someone who's a grandfather to ask, but Yikes didn't like having two different people ask her so soon together. She's totally not into Dorothy the Dinosaur, you see. ;)
