I just read this meta, which was linked to from another one. I like your theories, and wanted to point out one other detail. All the things Amelia's dad said, which rightly made Sam uncomfortable...the whole time I was thinking that her dad wasn't real, that it was all part of some kind of dream-world, and it's Sam's subconscious talking to him. Some of it was stuff John might have said about Sam's current lifestyle, but I think it's Sam's own mind trying to get him to break out of this "idyllic" dream existence. Everything the dad said seemed just so pointed to make Sam really think about his "normal" life and how it would appear to an outsider, how he would appear to a regular person. The dad had way too many insights for having just met him for the first time. It went beyond the typical protective dad thing, so I think there are supposed to be a lot of clues in that scene

So far I am loving your theories. It's mademe enthusiastic about the show again because I was starting to get discouraged, thinking that the show was moving a little too much into soap opera territory.

To the poster who brought up Dean's new drinking habits, have you also noticed he's not sleeping? I will have to go back and check but we usually get at least oneshot of theboys asleep.We got one of Sam but we haven't seen Dean asleep, I don't think.
