Wow, Mrs. Claus truly ain't got nothin' on you!

I like the idea of putting the old ornaments in dishes. And hanging them from the barware is genius! I love the way some of my inherited ones are faded and splotchy- sometimes I put them on the tree anyway. Your tree is so bright and beautiful!

The snow and Jack are both perfect ;)

I've been decorating the tree today, but I'm taking a break because I'm really not into it and I'd like to enjoy it.

I love the patina on old ornaments. I think next year I want to do the whole tree in vintage ornaments.

It's best to enjoy it, so take your time!

Aww, I love posts like this! We never decorate the inside of your house so it always give me warm fuzzies to see other people's creativeness when it comes to Christmas. ♥

Also, snow! I wish we had snow to at least justify the bone chilling cold :(

Thank you!

Today the snow has stopped, but we have the bone chilling cold now, so I feel your pain. It's sad when the temperature is 8 when you wake up.

Thank you! I keep meaning to tell you that I finally tried out that idea you posted a long time ago about reusing soup cans to make luminaries. Filling the can with water and freezing it totally works to pound the holes in it! I don't have them all quite done yet, but when I do, I'll post a pic so you can see how you inspired me. :)

Thanks! They're so cheap and colorful, I feel like I really get a lot of bang for my buck.
