the time goes any more. I’m spinning most of the time, trying to keep my head above report cards and trimester assessments and end of the year stuff.
I haven’t even thought about the classroom cleaning yet.

Mother’s Day

So my Mother’s Day gift was a trip to the Ren Faire. Shades of childhood enthusiasms. We did that for three years or so when the kids were little. So the children had no real idea of what they were getting into, although I made everyone promise no costumes because I wasn’t going to sew all Saturday.

So tired

May hit with a vengeance. Open House on Thursday meant I stayed until 6 or 6:30 every night before that. The new superintendent does a walk-through on Monday. Tuesday, we head to the zoo. It’s Mother’s Day a week from now, so I have all the stuff, crafts and writing, to accomplish before then.

Seven more weeks of school to go. This year, it's sad, but I'm already in the countdown mode. Via my principal, I heard that they're looking for two people to rewrite the curriculum I helped write this year, with a consultant standing by to help. Our intrepid heroine has finished the veil and the oak tree, including its framing, taken in the bride’s garter and checked the distance it’ll go, and inscribed names on wooden coat hangers that the bride will burn.
