And in other news, the marketing people were showing off the new glossy brochures, when I noticed the typo on page 3 (FEASIBLITY). Luckily, they only printed about 5,000 which is less than sometimes.
I'm starting to see why the uptick in requests for my proofing services....

Once upon a time in the bad old days I worked for a company that manufactures junk mail as a sales assistant. One of the job responsibilities was to fly out to Green Bay, WI whenever a new job went on press to proof the first pieces before they started the main run. These were the wonderful days before the internet.

So they printed the set up run, and brought me a test piece to compare against the boards. The first words out of my mouth were "it's very nice, but why is it pink?" They had transposed two digits in the pantone number...
