I'm so glad that the work week is over... I really need a couple of days off to recuperate. Some of that is going to be spent dealing with the basement. Wednesday night's torrential downpour was a little bit more than our basement foundation could handle. Water was pouring through the cracks in three different locations. So we've finally made it to Memorial Day weekend! Hurrah, a longer weekend than normal that I don't have to pay for with precious PTO time.

As usual, I am very behind on keeping this thing updated. But here is an update anyway, to make up for my slackitude.

So the airline really annoyed me this weekend. Not only do we now have to pay $15.00 to check a single bag, but they overbooked my flight, and then ran out of space and couldn't accommodate everyone's carry-on luggage ( Read more... )

So, we had a wonderful holiday yesterday... it was pleasantly drama-free, and there was lots of good food that I did not have to cook! We got up late, due to Jeff being paged numerous times the night before for work, and therefore got a late start on the apple pie. Apple pie is Jeff's specialty, and I normally let him do all of it.
