If you have an hour to spare, read this and join me on my quest for self discovery and improvement..

On February 19th, I stood outside on the deck of a gorgeous house in the Poconos and stared up at a sky of a billion stars. They say that you can see stars better when you’re out in the woods and there aren’t the lights of city and civilization to drown them out…but maybe it’s that when you’re out in the woods the city and civilization are not ( Read more... )

I just wanted to say that I thought it was amazingly brave of you to write this. I really admire your courage and ability to examine yourself so honestly. It takes guts to really stand toe to toe with the things that hold you back, and the things that have haunted you for so long ( ... )

I thank you for your encouragement and support (and email address too). Like I said, despite my questioning nature, I know I surround myself with a truly great group of people. This is just further proof of that fact. I too enjoy writing out my feelings...and in addition to my live journal ramblings, I have several journals that are always evolving into volumes of complaint and self-exploration.

Thank you!!

Ah my Shane, I knew there was more to this friendship than a common love of one Kaballah (sp?) practicing disco queen. I love you dearly and if I was Ryan Philippe I'd be all over you every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I love you.

"May we all in our dotage be proud to say 'I was adored once too.'" mrbenchly7 March 10 2006, 18:50:37 UTC
According to my Google search, that quote is from the February 2004 O magazine's article entitled "What I Know for Sure: Love."

Well, what I know for sure is that ever since I met you in Barlow, I've always wanted to be around you to see what you were going to say or do next. It's not that you were my entertainment (that honor goes to Little Amie); it's more than that. You were like a portal into the world of everything that mattered. And over 10 years later, nothing has changed.

Right now, you're playing a tense match against yourself on Court 16 at Wimbledon. There aren't very many seats, but that hasn't stopped the crowd from overflowing to see how this match is going to play out. We're all cheering for you so regardless of what happens in your life, I hope you are able to realize how many fans you've attracted along the way, and more to the point, all of their many reasons for showing up.

Benchly,
Wow. I missed you something fierce all those crazy, confusing years. Thank goodness you're back in my life. Now when are you going to get that kick ass publishing job and move to NYC so we can hang out more frequently? Not to mention the segue into the travel channel show...we could be HUGE!
Love ya!

Ssssssta,
Lately I've been having dreams of death and robbery. Maybe it's because I'm reading "Fast Food Nation". But, more than likely, these images are manifestations of my demons.
Let's get together with a thick French accent and a pop-music star and hunt some demons.
You are awesomely inspirational to me.
