The evils of the internet

There are a few staff people at my job that I'm not thrilled with. Some have worked there for a rather long time, but I am actiively searching for their replacements. Apparently one of them is not so thrilled with me either because she left the following comment to a friend on Myspace ( Read more... )

WOW. You can fire her probably on the basis of being a MORON. We have a company policy that prohibits "blogging" about the workplace. How about you help her out of there sooner...I would love it if you called her on it...she would DIE! Interesting that she personalized it so much to project that your "too afraid to come out". Good luck!

Interesting that she would make such a comment at all...It may just be one of those things where she had little else to say so she went with the lesbian card (whether she actually believed it or not)...once when I was fighting a battle for Cousin J with a nasty roommate all she kept saying was that I was "fat." I said to her, "If that's the only thing you can insult about me I'm one lucky girl because you have numerous character flaws about which I could go on for hours." It's pretty much the same thing about this one.

LOL. whoa. i have to concur with the "anonymous" commenter on this one.

please indulge my selfishness by calling her out on the myspace comment nonchalantly, and then posting the story about what follows here on LJ. :o)

I'm with anonymous. Sort of. If I was in your shoes, and I had guts (it depends on the day), I'd send the girl a message on Myspace saying "You should watch what you say on the Internet. You wouldn't want the wrong person to see it." Nothing more, nothing less. Let her embarrassment be her punishment. If you're lucky, maybe she'll even feel shame.

I think that's a great way to do it! Drama filled, but great!
