I've been reading back over journal entries, and have realized that I record a lot more of the bad here than the good. In a way, it only makes sense. For one thing, writing is cathartic, and my LJ friends have always proved to be strong shoulders to lean on when I needed them. Plus, the old news conundrum applies to personal lives just as much as

awesome! i'll give it a try if i have time. we're going hiking today, though, and this "meme" requires lots of thought lol. although, i've been trying to write the good stuff in here these days, rather than the bad stuff.

It can be so easy to fall into the trap of only reporting the bad.

I have a friend on here who frequently posts one line reports of what's going on, more like FB posts than the usual LJ style. I think I may have to start doing that.
