Lucky
I've been reading back over journal entries, and have realized that I record a lot more of the bad here than the good. In a way, it only makes sense. For one thing, writing is cathartic, and my LJ friends have always proved to be strong shoulders to lean on when I needed them. I get most of my music from two sources: Pandora and Spotify. Pandora's what I listen to in the car, because my radio is broken and I'm too cheap to buy a premium Spotify account. At home, I switch it up between the two ( Read more... ) -
Just remembered last night's dream
My husband, who is a computer geek who has never quite shaken off all of his hackerish urges, had modded by GPS so that it added "with a goat" to the end of every direction. So, I'd hear in that robot voice, "Turn... left.. in 100 feet... with a goat."
I woke up pretty annoyed with him. -
Random memory...
In the bedroom I shared with my boyfriend in the first house we rented, there was a small bit of graffiti on the chimney that read "Peace... I love no one."
It creeped me out so much that my boyfriend put a poster over it for me, and I forgot it was there until we were moving and he took the poster down. -

In a world where no one need ever lose contact with anyone, we all, paradoxically, will experience more loss. With FaceBook, etc, you'll never again wonder "what ever happened to..." Barring a deliberate decision to leave someone behind, you will still see each other around, until they aren't there to see anymore.

I'm a dork, but, I think that one of the things I love most about a new skill is learning a whole new vocabulary. We went out sailing on a friend's boat the other day.
