In a world where no one need ever lose contact with anyone, we all, paradoxically, will experience more loss. With FaceBook, etc, you'll never again wonder "what ever happened to..." Barring a deliberate decision to leave someone behind, you will still see each other around, until they aren't there to see anymore.

It's just really strange and sad. His father has been posting to his FaceBook. I feel terrible for Paul's family. They sound like they are going through hell.
