Getting back to SCA stuff

I got an e-mail forwarded by arwensouth  the other day. It was from Count Gunthar, the moderator/owner of the SCA Cooks list. Gunther distinguishes himself in my mind as the King who would not eat a non-period feast. He's gotten into open-fire cooking, and was posting questions about it to the SCA Cooks list. An alternate term for "authentic", but without a lot of the baggage. It practice, it means that if you look at my campsite, there won't be anything visible which would disrupt the illusion of a period environment.

Yes, the Coleman stove and hot chocolate are there, but hidden inside the big tent.

By the way, Katarina Helena, who is on the spit-project list, is a friend of ours from back when we all lived in Stonemarche. I somehow think the two of you would get along just fine. :)
