Herb garden update

17' linear feet, 62 square feet, 59% of the bed period herb bed is dug. The spearmint has a home, and there's plenty of room left for anything that needs to come home from the greenhouse this week.

But not for the yarrow yet. I tripped out to

You sure you don't want more yarrow than that? :)

No, really, I have plenty. I keep finding more clumps of it in various places around the yard.

And yes, what you saw was the first figure of the "Feed The Poor Starving Fishies Dance". (The second figure involves them crawling over each other and practically out of the pond to convince you how **hungry*** they are.) I meant to leave some food out so you could throw them a bit, but I forgot. Next time.

You'll have to tell me where this new stone place is. I think I need about $30 worth for my period herb garden -- I want a path to go up to the birdbath, and then enough to form a circle around it. I actually have a round concrete disk for it to sit on so that it will stay level and all.

I wish I'd known you were ordering the carrot seeds, though -- I'd have had you throw in a packet for me. I've definitely bookmarked the site for next year's shopping (since it's getting a little late to start some things from seeds now).

So when are we going to the greenhouse?

Well, let me do some digging, because I could probably use more. I found some out near the street, and wonder if it's the same cultivar. I'm still trying to solidify some sort of garden design in my head for the tree yard in front of the house.

Sorry about not sharing the website before I ordered the seed. However, they say that all the seed is open-pollinated, so it should be easy enough to let some go to seed and have seed to share.

Payday's Thursday, but Paulino seems to close at 6. Plans on Saturday are for cleaning out a storage unit, so Sat.'s not a likely candidate. And I think that I'd better plan on Sunday at the storage unit, too.

Thoughts?

Saturday is a painting day for us; Sunday is a trip to the Springs to make Regency costumes for the Regency ball at Worldcon.

How early could you get off work on Friday? I might be able to manage 3:30, which could get me there by 4:00...

Either that, or we schedule a work break some time on Saturday...

Friday's good, I'm effectively "off" - as much as I ever am - at 3:15 when Evan gets out of school. Shall we meet at Paulino at 4:00 then?
