Yay mom! I think the experience you had here -- the "I could do that! Hey, I want to do that" epiphany and the decision to go play around and see what you can manage -- accounts for about 75% of anything I've ever made. I'm glad you're starting to play around too.

Btw, I've been drawing again recently. :)

It's interesting that I have the impulse to "play around" with art more and more as I get older. On the one hand I'm really happy about it, and on the other, I'm annoyed that it took me so long. But hey, Grandma Moses was even older than me when she got started.
