Yes, it's September and Boston radio is in cut-throat competition for the new college kids.

I'm so happy that I contained my laughter until I got behind a closed door. 

Yay, thunder storms!  Yay,  lightning!  Yay, wind!  Yay, sweet, sweet rain!  Triple digit temperature tumbling down!  Yay, beautiful, dynamic earth!

Also totally cool:  grand double rainbows that appear after the sun is over the horizon and fade sloooowly away into darkness like some weird biblical promise.

When it's a billion degrees and the hose is stretched out across the yard in full sunshine, don't let your dog leap face-first into the sprinkler when you turn on the water.

Wait that crucial minute for the cool water to run up and push out the scalding standing water.

I'm a fangirl.  I'm overly enthusiastic about all kinds of tv shows, books, movies, music, authors... you get the picture.  But day to day life trundles onward with little to no evidence of mudiooch-the-fangirl visible to the naked, non-electronic eye.

The rain just started again.  NWS is calling for another 2" - 3.5" over the next few hours.  Then it should move off until the next cycle pushes in.  Wow.   New England successfully  goes from a four month rain deficit to the second rainiest May on record.  And it's only the 15th.  Everybody be well.
