Question for all of you!
When you hear the phrase "they hooked up", what do you think this means that they did?
A. Made out
B. Did something that really could be anything from kissing to fondling to oral sex to intercourse
C. Had sex
D. Other - Please explain
Just curious.

Though clarification is usually necessary. You can't really just say "I hooked up with him" and not provide more explanation.

But apparently Regina (the girl from Wisconsin who hates it here) and Jennifer from Iowa think it means sex. Which is awesome, because when I use it, that's not what I mean.

I feel like you can use "hooked up" with your significant other, but only in certain contexts. Like, "So what'd you and your boyfriend do on Friday night?". Answer, "Oh, nothing. Watched TV and hooked up".
