That sounds like a good idea!

Some ideas...I don't know how well you can draw (I suck...), so here's some things you could incorporate or use?

Hot: Draw a sun and a thermometer with "120-degrees" labeled. And/or a person wearing a tank top and shorts sweating, either with a hand to their forehead or looking up at the sun.

Cold: Draw a snowflake/snowman and a thermometer with "-30-degrees" labeled. And/or a person bundled in boots, coat, hat, scarf, shivering (arms around their torso with little wiggly "motion" lines around them).

Hope that helps!

The thermometers with pictures sounds cool. I think that I could draw that in a small-ish space with a sharpie.

Little sweaty stick person in t-shirt and shorts and one shivering in coat, hat and all the rest?
Icicles and lemonade?

Hmm, that sounds good, but it might be a bit hard for me to draw. (I drew such complicated pictures as a sun and a cloud for other ones).

shivering person and person next to a cactus? Also, my teachers always used fly swatters for these games. I highly recommend them. How are your Third Graders doing?

We do play the Flyswatter Game, but I thought I would shake it up a little and do it in pairs.

The third graders are crazy as usual. They're adorable and loud and often fail to learn much. *Sigh*. Only 7 lessons to go!
