Oh look Davey, a mirror! Oh no, it's just shadows.

Please excuse my title, me and my friends were reciting comedy sketches in the pub last night, including lines from Donald and Davey Stott, who were on Vic Reeves' Big Night Out. Most of you will probably never have heard of it, either being on the wrong side of the Atlantic (or Pacific if you're Trish) or a bit...more sane. Heh :o ( Read more... )

You moving day is almost here...I am sure there are many memories in the house you are now in, but you can make new memories in your new home.

Glad you are doing well with your pole dancing, and looking forwrd to the pictures of you doing it!!!

It's cold here too, and still lots of snow to look at.
We got over a foot altogether, and it will take some nice warm weather to get rid of it, but it is going to be zero again this weekend so it's not going anywhere for quite a while...

If you use a permanent dye on your hair it should stay good for 6 weeks, and some dye products have a touch up kit for just doing the roots.
That way you don't have to redo your whole head!!!

Happy packing---And I am sure you will love/like your new place.
Hugs

I was sure I replied to this! Sorry about that.

Yep, I have memories of all the nine places I've lived in the last nine years. Heh. It's annoying moving so often and I wish I could stay in one place, but I suppose it makes life interesting and stops me getting stuck in a rut!

I used a semi permanent dye on my hair (up to 28 washes it says) for three reasons:
1) In case it all went wrong.
2) So I don't have to worry about dying my roots.
3) So I can try a different colour once this one has washed out :o)

Now I've started playing around with it, I think I'm going to want variety :o)

Nine places in Nine years!!!!
Yikes---I have been in the same home since I got married...A million years ago!!!

If you want to experiment with color, simi permanent is the way to go.
I use to try different colors too. Bright red, flame red, darker red, and now I just go with reddisih brown...
I am older now so I toned it down!!!
But I love different shades of red hair.

Have fun trying different colors!!!!!

I do wish I could stay in the same place for a long time, it would be lovely to make a home my home, but circumstances change and we have to do things we didn't necessarily plan. But then I suppose that's what makes life interesting.

I think I might try a red shade next time :o)

That is true, it's like a magnetic draw, no one can ever escape.

Yeah I know it's horrible, but I've done it plenty of times now *counts* I think this will be my ninth time in as many years!

Yes, I love Shooting Stars! I saw the tribute too, some of it is on YouTube, like the 'lesbians' song and 'in 1942, I invented the shoe...' LMAO :-D So random!

Bah! Moving sucks. It's so time consuming and a pain but in your case very necessary.

LOL we get alot of British shows here but not that one that I know of.

Dear gods woman who wants to be sane? Life's hard enough as it is without adding the threat of sanity to it as well. *runs screaming into the night*

Did you use a semi permanent hair dye (one that washes out in 16 washes or whatever) or a permanent one?

Moving does indeed suck, but I've done it enough times now to be an expert at it. And yes, it's necessary for two reasons; we were served our notice before Pete broke up with me so I think the world's trying to tell me that I just don't belong in that house! LoL.

Ah, Vic Reeves' Big Night Out was on TV many many years ago, it must be about 20 years now. It was weird and strange, but me and my sister would have tears streaming down our faces laughing at it :o)

I used a semi permanent dye, it says it lasts up to 26 washes. For three reasons
1) In case it all went wrong.
2) So I don't have to worry about dying my roots.
3) So I can try a different colour once this one has washed out :o)

Ahhh ok so either way you were moving anyway. Just not to the same place as Pete now.

No matter what you use you'll get regrowth regardless. Most people don't notice how fast their hair grows until it's been died because now you have what's called a GT (Grand Tourer)stripe *snickers* see even in hair colours I can still get cars into it *grins madly*

You have the option of waiting until it's faded enough to put another colour over it or wait until it's gone completely before you do another colour. Depending on how dark the colour is will depend on what you can go over it with before it's washed out. :)

Not that I know alot about hair dye or anything....much! *giggles and runs away*

Yeah, as I've never successfully dyed my hair before, I had no idea how quickly it grows! The colour I have at the moment is still very dark so it'll be a few weeks before I can start experimenting with other colours :o) I want the different to be noticeable and striking so I'll wait until it's faded quite a lot first :o)
This is exciting, now I've got shorter hair it's much easier to do!
How many different colours have you tried then? ;o)

Yeah I wish I didn't have to move so often, it would be nice to settle somewhere and make a home my own. But, yep, it's a good way to have a good clearout! :o)
