A Conversation

John: *glares at pile of textbooks* You're not even in uni.
Me: I'm researching ready for when I go back!
John: That makes it worse.
Me: Preparation is my watchword.
John: *sigh*

I'm sorry for your loss, though I can certainly empathize with being relieved- after a while it just seems selfish to want to keep them around, at least that's the way I have been in the past. Regardless, though, death is hard to deal with (to understate the obvious) and if you need an ear, mine's available.

Also, I enjoyed the poem. I've actually never heard it before!

Thank you =) Everyone has been coming to terms with the idea for a while now, so that helped when it actually happened.

I only read it for the first time a few days ago. I tried searching for the author but couldn't find her. The only information I have is that it was published in a feminist magazine at the time of Emmeline Pankhurst's death.

As odd as it sounds to say it about a loved one dying, we're all grateful for it.

Very sorry to hear about your great Grandma. At least she is in peace now and will suffer no longer. x
