I applied for help with NHS charges and they replied yesterday giving me a certificate for full help. So prescriptions, dental treatment, etc are free not only for me but for John because he's my partner. Yay-that's awesome that you are getting full help!

Try not to feel bad about the dentist-my parents rarely took me to the doctor or the dentist.

I just went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago and kindly explained to them that my parents only thought it was worth going when something was wrong and now that I am an adult I am trying to be better about going regularly. They will understand-I am sure they have seen it all.

Good luck!

I need to try and track down an NHS dentist too. I picked up a leaflet about how to do it from the docs a while ago but haven't had chance to do anything about it yet.
I hope you can find one that doesn't have a stupidly long waiting list!

There's an NHS dentist finder online but it's a bit rubbish. It just locates dentists and doesn't say whether they accept NHS patients or not *grumble*. There's a Monday-Friday number to ring if you need help finding one, so I'm going to give that a go tomorrow.

Thank you =)
